New: Wi-Fi Hotspot in Kilrush
There is now a Wi-Fi Hotspot at the Internet Bureau for public access whichl provides a convenient wire-free Internet access for my customers using their wi-fi enabled laptops/PDAs. Also, access available for laptops with ethernet cables.
This Wi-Fi Hotspot service will be ideal for anyone who needs to get their e-mails or downloads while travelling around the country. Broadband now delivers digital images, videos and MP3 files much faster. In fact, an Australian family called yesterday and were able to download and print photos of their newly born grandson. They were very much overcome!
(WiFi = Wireless Fidelity, otherwise know as Wireless Networking, commonly using the 802.11b protocol. It is a way of transmitting information in wave form that is reasonably fast and is often used for notebooks/PDAs which replaces cables in a local area network).
Internet Surfing: With the click of the mouse on the world wide web you are able to access unlimited information across the globe.
Printing Information downloaded from the Internet or from a floppy disk is printed on inkjet printers.
E-mails can be sent or received locally, nationally and internationally.
